Insurance / Fees

There are several ways to cover therapy fees.  Most people choose to use health insurance to cover their counseling sessions.  You may also pay out-of-pocket if you do not wish to use insurance coverage.

We currently accept the following insurance plans:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO

We will also file insurance claims for the following out-of-network plans:

  • United Behavioral Health

Insurance can be confusing!  To help you with the process, we are happy to verify your benefit coverage for you as a courtesy service.  Your out-of-pocket cost (co-pays, deductibles, etc.) will be determined by your insurance plan.  We also advise you contact your insurance provider directly to understand your coverage and benefit level.

If your plan is out-of-network, we are happy to provide an invoice for services which you can submit to your provider for reimbursement.  Please note the majority of out-of-network insurance plans will reimburse at 50-70% of your out-of-pocket expense per session.  We advise checking with your insurance provider beforehand to know your exact rate of reimbursement.

For those who prefer to pay out-of-pocket, the standard fee for an initial assessment appointment is $160.  Regular counseling appointments are $150 per standard session.  Fees for couples’ therapy is $170 per session.  If these fees are out of your range and you would still like to pursue counseling, I am happy to talk with you about a sliding scale payment plan that is more comfortable for your financial situation.

Payment is due at the time of session.  Cash, checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) are accepted.
